Experience & Professional Development (XPD)
Experience and Professional Development (XPD) is a multifaceted department that provides support at each stage of your academic journey.
Career Development
97% of CSB+SJU graduates are employed, continuing education, or engaged in a full-time volunteer program within one year of graduation.
XPD supports students with choosing a major, exploring careers, application tools and processes (resumes, cover letters, interviewing), gaining experience, internship and job search strategies, graduate school, volunteering after graduation, and more.
Internships and Experience-based Programs
Bennies and Johnnies are exposed to all sorts of academic opportunities. XPD provides opportunities to gain hands-on experiences outside the classroom that pair with what they’re learning in the classroom.
Community-Engaged Learning
Learning for CSB+SJU students extends beyond our classrooms and campus into our community in mutually beneficial opportunities. Some of those opportunities – like the Bonner Leader program and our robust Summer Leadership Fellows program – include paid summer internships in the government and non-profit sectors.
