yes, Janelle, I was sort of kidding. Your essay offered occasion for me to declare my love and admiration for Joseph Sudek. I think he is a great exemplar, especially for people coming up. Also, that eight-minute French video is a pleasant sketch of his achievement. The French love photography, and we can learn something from that love as well.

Lots of good stuff in here and beautiful work too! Need to track down a copy of that Wendell Berry book. I know the camera shouldn't matter, but a perfectly exposed negative from a Deardorff 8x10 is a sight to behold.
