Bowery Creek Group Rec Site

Overview
Bowery Creek Group Rec Site is a triple-site picnic area that can accommodate up to 100 people and 15 vehicles. Located within the Bowery Creek Campground, this site is available for day use only.

Facilities
Flush toilets, picnic tables and a fire pit are available for day use.

Natural Features
Situated on the slope of a hill overlooking Fish Lake. Day use picnic areas are surrounded by pine trees and aspen trees.

Recreation
Nearby recreation activities include fishing, boating, hiking and OHV riding.

Reservations are recommended for day-use group sites, and can be made online by visiting the link for Bowery Creek Campground below. See sites 1 or 23 to reserve the day-use group area.  

General Information

Open 24 hours/day

-Follow local fire restrictions and fully extinguish campfires before leaving.

-Pack out all trash and follow leave no trace principles.

-Use designated vault toilet to protect natural environment and wildlife.

-Use existing sites and park only on durable surfaces (not vegetation)

-Avoid creating new trails

-Store food properly in bear-proof containers.

-Stay on designated roads, and trails as shown on kiosk and designated forest service maps.

-All OHVs are required to be registered and display a permit or sticker for riding on public lands.

Please Note: All campgrounds on the Fishlake National Forest are managed by High Country Recreation under the terms and conditions of a concession permit that was issued to them by the Forest Service in 2020. Email: [email protected]
 

-Pets must be leashed at all times within this recreation area. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect wildlife.

-Clean up dog waste and dispose of it properly.

-Keep dogs from chasing, harassing, and disturbing wildlife or other visitors.

-Yield to other hikers, horses, and other trail users by stepping off the trail and controlling your dog.

Directions

Bowery Creek Group Site is 42.3 miles east of Richfield, Utah. Head east on UT-118 N/E 300 N toward N 100 E 0.8 mi. Continue straight onto UT-119 E 8.8 miles. Turn right onto UT-24 E for 23.1 miles then turn left onto UT-25 N for approximately 9.6 miles. Campground is on the left (north) side of the road.
