Cane Creek Wildlife Management Area

Cane Creek Wildlife Management Area is cooperatively managed with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to promote and sustain native wildlife populations. This 6,677-acre area is wooded with some scattered grassy openings. the terrain is mostly hilly with vertical sandstones cliffs occurring below the ridge tops. The area has no developed facilities.

The wildlife management area is located in Laurel County approximately 15 miles west of London, KY.

General Information

  • Daniel Boone National Forest visitors must abide by all Kentucky hunting, trapping and fishing regulations. Learn more about regulations for using Public Hunting Areas.
  • Management area boundaries are marked with signs and yellow paint on trees. Private land boundaries are marked with property boundary signs and red paint on trees.

Getting There

Directions

To reach the southern portion of the wildlife management area, travel 11 miles west on KY 192. Use a map to reach your desired location.

To reach the northern portion of the wildlife management area, travel KY 192 west for approximately 6 miles. Turn right on Cold Hill Road (Forest Service Road 56). Travel 2.7 miles and turn left on Forest Service Road 119 (gravel road). Travel 5.9 miles. The wildlife management area is on the left.
