Entrance and Transportation Fees
There is no fee charged by the National Park Service to enter Fire Island National Seashore sites, but plan to pay parking and/or transportation fees charged by adjacent parks or ferry companies to get to most parts of Fire Island.
Parking fees may apply at nearby state or county parks that allow access on foot to National Seashore lands. See their websites below for more information on parking fees.
Robert Moses State Park - adjacent to the Fire Island Lighthouse
Smith Point County Park - adjacent to the Otis Pike Wilderness
Ferry companies that transport passengers to National Seashore sites also charge fees. See their websites below for more information.
Davis Park Ferry - service to Watch Hill from the Patchogue Ferry Terminal
Sayville Ferry Service - service to Sailors Haven from Sayville, New York.
National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Passes
Fire Island National Seashore issues only Access, Annual Military, and Veteran Military Interagency Passes. These passes may be obtained with proper documentation at Fire Island National Seashore's Wilderness Visitor Center adjacent to Smith Point County Park. Annual, Annual Senior, Lifetime Senior, and Every Kid Outdoors passes are NOT available at the Wilderness Visitor Center.
