Yesterday, US markets couldn’t hold the opening gap fading throughout the session as the optimism for a meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin faded with the deadline looming. Major US indices closed slightly lower but are holding to solid gains for the week. The S&P 500 was up just over 1.5% trading pretty much exactly where it was before last Friday’s jobs report. It is a pretty quiet morning with no major economic data on the calendar. Global markets were mixed overnight. US futures have been trading higher but have come off the best levels over the last hour.
