Time Flies is a short but sweet adventure game about making the most of your life on planet Earth — even if it only lasts a matter of seconds.

Playing as a common fly, the game detects your real-world location and uses that country's average life expectancy to determine the length of your fly's life in seconds. You can choose another place if you'd rather a longer (or shorter) lifespan.

This game's message about living to the fullest couldn't be much clearer, but it's delivered with real humour.

Time Flies is a silly little game about a fly with a bucket list, and your job is to complete every item within one lifespan before moving onto the next level.

Gameplay is about as simple as it gets; you can fly with the left thumbstick, pull up the list with the touchpad, and that's it. While playing is very simple, your objectives are pretty varied, and have you exploring the full breadth of each environment.

You might need to read a book, paint a picture, or make a phone call — this fly has goals and ambitions, and it's your job to figure out how to fulfil them all before you expire. You have an unlimited number of attempts to finish the list in one life, and you'll need them; hazards are everywhere, from hot lightbulbs to fly paper to Venus flytraps.

There's a sort of slapstick comedic value to the instantaneous nature of your fly's demise, and many of the objectives lead to surreal and hilarious outcomes.

As well as completing each bucket list, the four stages contain lots of fun little interactions, as well as hidden collectable puzzle pieces, secreted away in unusual spots that further encourage you to explore every part of each level.

The game will probably only last you a couple of hours or so, but that time is filled with lots of fun moments and amusing gags. It's not something that'll stand up to many replays, but it's an entertaining curiosity while it lasts.
