Immunization, or vaccination rates measure the percent of people who received recommended vaccines. Tracking vaccination rates help to assess how well communities are protected against vaccine preventable diseases. Providers, schools, and community partners can use this information to take action and improve vaccination rates in their community.
The Maine CDC Immunization Program reviews state and national data to assess and improve immunization rates, identify populations at risk, and measure the impact of current initiatives.
Maine Immunization Quality Improvement For Providers (IQIP)
A U.S. CDC initiative that uses evidence-based tools and strategies to help health care providers increase immunization rates among children and adolescents.
IQIP Provides technical assistance to three core QI strategies:
- Schedule a next visit before the patient leaves
- Leverage the ImmPact function to improve immunization practices
- Provide vaccine recommendations
If your clinic wants to improve your immunization practice and raise immunization rates, check out the resources below or email [email protected]. We will work with your clinic to choose and implement process improvement strategies and activities that meet your needs.
